NYU Bobst Library Neuroinclusion

Location = New York, NY

Status = Phase 1 Complete

Verona Carpenter Architects is part of the winning team for the phased renovation of the Bobst Library at NYU, serving as the consultant for neuro inclusive design. For this first phase of the project, a rapid design and installation phase for immediate improvements to a critical campus social and study space, we vetted the architect's design proposals with our own team of paid neurodivergent self-advocates. We suggested layouts, materials, and furniture improvements to create a space that works for the widest range of bodies and minds. We discussed this project in Irina Verona's talk about inclusive library design at the 2024 American Libraries Association conference.
